Balam Golf Course is Placencia’s new golf course, opened in 2026, and a 10-minute drive or 5-minute boat ride across the lagoon from Turtle Inn. Balam plays as a 9-hole, par-36 course measuring 2,479 yards, with multiple tee boxes that let you go 9, 18, or 27 holes and rework the layout each time around. It can also be played as a full par-3 course when you want a faster round or to sharpen the short game. There is a three-story driving range for warming up or a full practice session, and a clubhouse with a restaurant and bar for after the round. Tee times are booked ahead, especially in high season.
