The dwellings at Blancaneaux are thatched cabañas and villas, built into the hillside above Privassion Creek and spaced for privacy. Each is open to the rainforest, with screened walls, ceiling fans overhead, and a deck or veranda where the jungle does most of the talking. Inside are local hardwoods, hand-carved furnishings, and handwoven Guatemalan textiles that Eleanor and Francis Coppola chose personally.
They range from the Garden View Cabañas and the Riverfront Cabañas perched above the creek to a Family Cabaña and Two-Bedroom Villas for larger groups. At the top of the property, the Enchanted Cottage and Francis Ford Coppola’s Villa each have a private plunge pool and long views over the forest. No two are quite alike. Every one was designed to feel less like a hotel room and more like a place to settle in and stay awhile.
