Hidden at the far end of the gardens, our swimming pool is a generously proportioned 10 metres by 5 metres and intended for family enjoyment, with bathrooms, showers, cabines for changing, and full bar and food service. Here, guests can take pleasure in a quintessentially Roman experience: swimming in a private pool within a walled garden in the heart of an Italian town. The swimming pool is heated during the mid-seasons.

Garden

Beyond the Palazzo’s courtyard lies a lush private garden dating back to the early 20th century, the evolution of an older herb garden. It is the only remaining example of a Giardino all’Italiana within a private villa in the Basilicata region. Built around a Neoclassical fountain, the garden is defined by symmetrical paths and flowerbeds, natural pergolas, and fruit trees. Cypress and Mediterranean pine flourish throughout the grounds, alongside bougainvillea and fragrant beds of rosemary, lavender, mint, and basil. Herbs, citrus, and seasonal vegetables grown here supply the kitchen daily. This remarkable setting was also chosen by Sofia Coppola for her wedding in 2011.
